About Molly
I am a graduate cellist from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire with over 15 years of performance experience in orchestral and chamber music settings. I currently undertake SCITT training in Primary Education (ages 3–7), which has strengthened my ability to teach in a structured, patient, and supportive way. Alongside my teaching training, I offer cello tuition and music theory support for beginners through to intermediate learners. My focus is on building strong technical foundations, musical understanding, and confidence in performance. My teaching style is calm, clear, and step-by-step, ensuring that students feel supported at every stage of their learning. I adapt lessons to suit individual goals, whether that is learning for enjoyment, developing technique, or preparing for graded exams. I aim to make music learning accessible and enjoyable, helping students develop both skill and confidence in their playing.

Molly is incredibly patient, approachable and dedicated to helping her students succeed. She creates a positive and supportive learning environment that makes learning enjoyable and helps build confidence. Molly is reliable, encouraging and genuinely cares about the progress of her students. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and inspiring tutor.
Having a couple of starter cello lessons with Molly as an adult was so much smoother and non-judgmental than I feared. Lessons were clear even to me, a greenhorn. I learned so much more than I thought I could in such little time.
Excellent Tutor!See more recommendations
