About Joe
Hi, my name is Joe. I am a university graduate in Computer Games Technology, which is a fancy title for game design & development. Across my time at University, I came to enjoy teaching the craft that I was learning about. And so, I thought I'd continue that and help others learn about game development as well, with a focus on pre-degree learning since I distinctly remember the lack of dedicated teaching available to me prior to university.
I've made countless games over the years across many game engines. And I've even been part of a fifteen-person development team during my final year of study.
I'll do my best to teach you everything you want to know and make sure you understand things before we move on, because you can't build on an unstable foundation.

Teaching method:
Teaching is personalised to each student after identifying what they want to learn, assessing their existing skill level, and building up from there. Lessons are 1-hour long and take the form of practical coding exercises connected by presentation-style teaching.
Qualifications:
- 2026: First Class Degree in BSc (Hons) Computer Games Technology @ University of Portsmouth
- 2023: Grade B in A-level Computer Science @ Exmouth Community College
Audience:
This is for students years 6 - 11 (UK education) who want to improve their programming skills for courses such as Computer Science, and anyone ages 10 - 18 who have a passion for game development and want dedicated learning on it.
