A graduate of Bachelor of Music. An orchestra and band Director for more than 10 years. Nena teaches flute, saxophone, clarinet. She also teaches piano and ukulele for beginners.

I worked with miss Nena when I was tenured by my Korean friend to teach music to a bunch of then young children. (Prise Youth Orchestra) here in the Philippines. Aside from being led by her as well during our stint at the Metro Manila Concert Orchestra. All under the baton of maestro Chino Toledo. (circa years 2000). Needless to say, she is a top-notch classical musician and a great teacher. Mabuhay!

I had the privilege of being Ms Nena’s student in the Symphonic Band from 2017 to 2022. She taught me how to play the clarinet, and helped turn our band into an organized and passionate group of young musicians. But more than that, she brought us closer together and strengthened our bond through music. Her teaching style was all about encouraging us and pushing us beyond what we thought we could do, helping us reach our full potential.

Through Ms. Nena’s guidance, we learned the value of hard work, dedication, teamwork, and the joy of making music together. We shared many memorable experiences, like our concert performances, band rehearsals, and individual lessons. She first introduced me to the clarinet when I was 9 years old and showed me everything I needed to get started. I still play the clarinet today, and I owe so much of that to her.

One experience that stands out was when she gave me difficult pieces to play when I was younger. At first, I thought they were way beyond my skill level—and honestly, they were at the time. But with her constant support and encouragement, I was able to perform them and learn so much in the process. She helped me grow not just as a musician, but also as a person.

I highly recommend Ms Nena to the Superprof community. She’s not only a talented and experienced music teacher, but also someone who really cares for her students.

Ms Nena is one of the best teachers I have ever met!! I was able to play flute (decently ) just after 2 sessions. As a beginner and with very Little background in music, I appreciate her patience with me. She makes sure I am not overwhelmed, but challenges me to step up.
