About Pat
At the UW School of Music, I learned piano technique from Professors Jeanette Ross and Ellen Burmeister. Professor Jimmy Cheatham taught me jazz arranging and professionalism. Onstage, bassist Richard Davis taught me fearlessness, while drummer Clyde Stubblefield taught me to perform with humility and a cooperative spirit. 12 years touring with singer Johnnie Taylor taught me perseverance. Bible study with Dr. Angie Dickson helped me understand Colossians 3:23 - "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as though you were working for the Lord and not for people."

We must exercise body, mind, and spirit to grow. Group lessons, courses, and introductory programs have their place, but often lack a critical element - informed feedback.
At some point, an aspiring talent needs individual counsel from a responsible and decent mentor. This does not guarantee success, but it is an important step on one's musical journey.
My method is simple. Meet with you, the student, via Zoom. Assess your needs and objectives. Determine a joint plan of action that is mutually rewarding.
