About Mehdi
A few lines about me: I have been playing Irish music since I was little guy! As a teenager I have been able to play with Alan Stivell, Carlos Nuñez or even Dan Ar Braz as a member of a bagad, then I recorded for film music and video games when I was studying at Berklee college of Music in Boston, where I played a lot of Irish flute but also Uilleann Pipe (Irish bagpipe). Beside, I am also a jazz player on the flute, but I have always been passionate about Celtic music!

Now let’s talk about the course! We have all been touched by harmonies or rhythms someday without really knowing why, it takes the guts! My goal is to help you identify that, and I will tailor my course to suit you, what you like and your speed. We don’t all learn music for the same reasons! I graduated from a conservatory, and I saw that certain methods did not work, or took away all the fun, although it is indeed music that we are talking about! Music theory will not be necessary, but if you want to learn it, it will be my pleasure! It’s convenient for group play, but Irish music is 99% listening-based! The older ones learn the pieces by ear ! The objective will therefore be to have fun, to have results very quickly (it is not impossible that you end up knowing a tune after the first session) and even why not compose your own melodies, while learning the Irish music standards, so you can play in Pubs all around the world!
