About Isabella Carol Ann
Hello, I'm Carol and I'm Scottish. After graduating from the University of St Andrews, I moved to North London - Hampstead and Highgate. I lived there and worked as a headhunter and career counsellor till 2007. However, the internet changed my world, and I wanted to get back in touch with real people again and fulfil my dream of living and working abroad in new and exotic places. So I took a CELTA course and spent the next 16 years working as an ESL teacher in Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Turkey, Nicaragua and latterly Slovenia. I travelled extensively within each country I have taught in a myriad of environments - language schools, hotels, law firms, architects, accountants, insurance and insurance regulators. I can honestly say that I learned as much as I taught about different industries and cultures. I also taught Preparatory English to students at the prestigious Bogazici University for four years and always exceeded the expected pass rate - all my IELTS students passed with a 7, except one with 6.5. Exams are about technique - and vocabulary, and practice! I also write for magazines all over the world about places, people, lifestyles and events. In my spare time, I love playing tennis, skiing, cycling and going to the theatre, opera and cinema. I am also an avid reader - and enjoy writers from all over the world, but my favourite is Isabel Allende. Now that I'm back in North London I enjoy exploring areas I'm not familiar with - and finding tasty and inexpensive eating places. I'm also a foodie! I hope to share and incorporate MY London into the lessons. I look forward to meeting you and sharing my London with you.

Details
Free 30-minute lesson will include a Needs Analysis to be completed before the free lesson and the lesson will be used to assess students' needs- and an assessment of their skills. Travel within the London area will be an additional 5 GBP irrespective of cost. Travel outside the London area will be at cost plus 5GBP
