About Hyde
Hi! My name is Hyde and I am a 19-year-old student at Cal State Long Beach. I first started playing bass in 6th grade and have played in my school's jazz band since. I got an A in my AP music theory class, and regularly play jazz for local restaurants. I also teach introduction to music classes at elementary schools.

I focus on learning the strong fundamentals of the instrument and music in general. I believe that once someone understands musicality in general, they can be proficient on any instrument they choose. That being said, there is still a strong emphasis on playing songs and learning things that motivate someone to want to practice. At the end of the day, music should be fun, and that's why I'm here.
