About Lauren

I have 8 years experience as a tutor in English, Writing, Biology, Test Prep, and Art + Design. I also have experience assisting with writing grants, proposals, admissions essays, and other extra-curricular writing tasks. I personally scored in the top tier of the SATs, including a perfect score on the writing section, which inspired me to share my test prep strategies with other students. I have also been honored with awards in the fields of Science, English, and Art for my interdisciplinary work.

I have experience in tutoring those with learning disabilities and those for whom english is a second language, and approach all of my students with a caring and sensitive attitude.

About the lesson

Hi! My name is Lauren and I am an American living in Perth, originally from California. I have over 8 years experience as a tutor in SAT, ATAR, STAT and ACT prep, as well as English, Writing, and Biology, with a proven track record of preparing students to bring home high scores.

Want to apply to college in America? I am well versed in SAT and ACT test prep, including the recent changes implemented in the exam. My focus is on explaining the specific quirks and rules of the test, teaching strategies for higher scores, and closing curriculum gaps between Australian and American educations. I help my students set and reach their goals, which have included high and perfect scores, preparing students to be competitive applicants to their top choice schools.

I also am experienced with ATAR and STAT test prep for those preparing for Uni in Australia. I love to make learning engaging and gratifying, teaching skills that help foster future success instead of just focusing on completion.
