About Simphiwe
I am a Master's student in International law at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. I have a BA in teaching, an LLB degree and three diplomas in the languages isiZulu, Xhosa and Sesotho. Growing up in South Africa and studying in-depth the native languages of my country during my academic career has given me the knowledge accompanied by experience in order to adequately teach the languages. I have traveled Africa and the world and now I want to give the world a piece of Africa.

My teaching is very much based on constructivism. When teaching language it is very essential to start by teaching the very basics in the simplest way possible. For example, when learning English it would be more beneficial to learn to say "Hello, my name is Samantha. What is your name ? " than it would be to learn to say "An adjective is a word naming an attribute of a noun, such as sweet, red, or technical.". In the same light, it would be more beneficial to learn how to say and write things in the simplest way possible instead of using Shakespearean language. The main goal of this class is to be able to learn African languages in such a way that applying it to everyday conversation with an everday South African would not be a problem
