About Lisa

After receiving a Bachelor's degree in German and English Studies in 2017, I completed a bi-national Master's degree in German as a Foreign Language at the University of Leipzig (Germany) and Stellenbosch University (South Africa).
I then spent two years teaching German as a Foreign Language at the Goethe-Institut Hanoi (Vietnam) followed by the position as a DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) Language Assistant the University of Cape Town. Since 2023 I have been working at a private school in the Eastern Cape.

About the lesson

I have been teaching German as a Foreign Language since 2015, both at private langugage institutes and universities. I am familiar with the demands of both institutions and with the different approaches to learning German. This also includes exam preparation. I am particularly familiar with the preparations for the Goethe German Exams (Goethe-Zertifikat).

A lesson lasts 45 minutes and the content is based on the students' requirements. The materials used come from official textbooks or are developed by me. The respective level of the student is taken into account.

Perfect! Lisa is incredibly knowledgeable about language as a science (linguistics). She really helped me to understand the rules and exceptions of German, and my German has improved so much since I started the lessons with her. Would highly recommend her.

Perfect! Lisa is a fantastic tutor who puts a lot of effort into preparing her classes while taking into consideration how you are wanting to learn a language and your personal reasons for doing so. Lisa exudes patience and encouragement and has made every lesson extremely informative and enjoyable. Each class is a fun learning experience and has made learning a new language exciting.
