My name is William Bigler but you can just call me Will :) I am a young guy in his mid-twenties who has been learning and been immersing and talking to Germans, German Teachers in High School from 9th-12th, in College, private German Language Schools, and as well, of course self-practice and personal travel to German-Speaking areas. I am a very new tutor and would love to learn through helping each person I talk to in a personalized fashion with the best study methods I can find so you can start dunking on others with your epische Deutschkenntnisse and help my Lehrfähigkeit zu verbessern!

I am in ASU from graduating from community college in Spanish and Psychology and a degree as well in general Arts (German was not offered at my community college, hence my need for a private institution which helped me pass the CLEP exam and Goethe and the cause of my study methods for those exams in a way) still in school to become a counselor and double majoring in German in my last two years to finish my official degrees to teach German officially and start my master's (hence why I am offering this service, for school money), so anyone who is B1 or intermediate and lower, I can surely help you get your B1 Goethe completed and CLEP exams for your university or get you through your high school/university intro classes for that language credit as much as I can as someone who has been there before personally :)

I am currently preparing my third trip to Germany in four years visiting family and friends I have over there (both gained and familial in Hessen and Rheinland-Pfalz), and have experience with learning German as a non-native American and have cultural-linguistic knowledge to help anyone else just trying to pass their class, or gain a solid grasp on the fundamentals of grammar and speaking and as much with writing as I can help from what I’ve learned personally!

About the lesson

English native speaker who learned "fluent" German from Arizona, USA with a CLEP in German of an 86/90 and a B1 in Goethe also simultaneously studying German in ASU in the final two years of my education in order to formally teach. Help any English speaker get to B1 from anywhere! I am open to teaching anybody willing to learn and with a passion for language learning that just needs a li'l push :)

The lesson will be layered into four different sections, which will be around 15 minutes each or so and may not exactly follow this order
-15 Minute listening practice through specialized music and read stories or conversations
-15 Minute Writing practice on formal, standard, and casual writing from texts to professional emails
-15 Minute Speaking Practice going over what you know and can say well, not just working on weaknesses but identifying pitfalls and how to use your strengths to your advantage
-15 Minute overview and possible homework or comments and finishing up talk on what you are feeling on the lessons themselves and anything I might be able to do help you translate or understand or do to further help you etc.

By personalizing, I mean think about that if you like dinosaurs, I'll focus on some dinosaur and prehistoric based stuff (same would apply to Star Wars and Harry Potter etc.) and movies or such to cover or cover stuff from a certain era of German or Swiss or Austrian according to your interests. It can be hard to find the sources for these things as a beginner I thought myself, so anyway to help you engage it better, I will pursue to do as much as I can.
