About Pablo
I am a 30-year old Brazilian geotechnical engineer, educator, and researcher, currently pursuing a Ph.D. in geotechnical engineering at the University of Alberta, following an M.Sc. in the same field. I have been passionate about soil mechanics since the age of 16, and with over five years of industry experience, I specialize in geotechnical design, seepage analysis, field investigations, laboratory testing, and instrumentation.
As an educator, I teach both introductory and advanced topics, including soil mechanics, critical state soil mechanics, and liquefaction. I blend academic theory with real-world applications, ensuring students gain practical knowledge alongside foundational understanding.
Fluent in both Portuguese and English, I aim to make geotechnical concepts accessible to diverse audiences and inspire others to explore this fascinating field.
