About Imogen
I am a full time, international private tutor in Maths and Economics, at GCSE and A-Level (all exam boards). I like to combine technical tuition with a focus on mental wellness and stress management, and I work 1:1 with pupils to help them fulfill their exam potential.
In 2014, I graduated from Durham University with a First in Economics and worked in the City with Barclays International for almost 4 years. Last year, I left to pursue a career in education; an industry I am infinitely more passionate about. I now work as a full time professional tutor with GCSE and A Level/IB students, specialising in Maths and Economics.
Bespoke tutoring offers the opportunity for me to work with students beyond simply cramming the syllabus to pass an exam. I think people perform best when they are feeling confident, grounded and mentally strong; and so creating the right foundations for learning are just as important as the learning itself. I am really passionate about the benefits of meditation and yoga in establishing perspective and calm, and I enjoy sharing stress management techniques with students to ensure the time they are working is productive, focused and replicable when I am not there.
Further, having experienced first hand the pressures associated with working as a young female graduate in banking, I enjoy working with students who are interested in a career in finance - I can assist with university, internship and graduate scheme applications.
