About Rosie
I am a Cambridge-certified language teacher with 9 years of tutoring experience. I currently teach French and Spanish at secondary school level, alongside offering private French tuition.
I speak fluent French and Spanish with near-native accents and have a strong academic background in languages. I studied Translation and Interpreting at Master’s level in France and hold a First-Class degree in Modern Languages from the University of Surrey.
Learning foreign languages is my passion, and teaching French brings me so much joy. The cultural insight I gained from years spent studying and working in France helps me bring the language to life for my students.

Whatever your level, I will work with you to build your confidence in understanding and communicating in French. I have supported many students throughout their GCSE and IB journeys, helping them to strengthen their language skills and make significant progress. Just as importantly, my enthusiasm for the French language is contagious and helps my students develop a love of learning French through our lessons.
I have been tutoring online for six years and have used that time to refine my teaching style and lesson structures. For each one-hour lesson, we can focus on whichever skill or topic you choose: speaking, listening, reading or writing; a specific grammar point; pronunciation and fluency; or vocabulary linked to an exam topic. Whatever you would like to focus on, we can work on it together.
I find that immersion in French is invaluable for boosting progress, so I usually speak in French for all or most of each lesson. If you are studying French ab initio or find it tricky, don’t panic! I will tailor my language to your level and make sure you feel supported and confident every step of the way.
If you already have a good grasp of French and want to take your skills further, our lessons will give you the chance to immerse yourself in the language, express yourself more naturally and develop greater accuracy and confidence. Whatever your starting point, you will see your French develop gradually and consistently over the course of our lessons.
