About Dearbhla

Hi there, my name is Dearbhla. I am a student teacher of Irish and piano and am currently undertaking a bachelor's degree in education and psychology. I have a grá for Gaeilge but also understand that the subject is often a means to an end and therefore I know how to maximize marks. I received 96% in higher level Irish for the leaving cert using a combination of methods that I wish to share with all those willing to work hard to achieve their goals.

About the lesson

For students focused on state examinations or Teig exams, I usually break down the marking scheme and we initially focus on sections that are worth the most marks. Once those sections are practiced and perfected, we move onto the sections where fewer marks can be picked up and master those sections. Students may know which sections they would like to be helped with in which case we can skip the breakdown and focus on their individual needs. My classes are open to all those who wish to learn Irish, be it written, reading or oral Irish. All needs and levels are facilitated using a combination of teaching methodologies.
