About Casey-Lee

My name is Casey-Lee. I completed my matric in 2024 with a strong academic foundation in Mathematics, Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry), Life Sciences, Afrikaans, English, Computer Applications Technology, and Life Orientation. I am currently studying towards a Bachelor of Education (BEd) in Intermediate Phase Teaching, with additional Psychology studies, which strengthens my understanding of how learners think, develop, and stay motivated.

I have previous tutoring experience and am passionate about helping learners reach their full potential. I am professional, reliable, and well-prepared for every lesson. I believe in creating a respectful and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, because that is where real learning happens.

I chose teaching because I truly enjoy working with children and helping them grow in confidence and ability. Education has the power to shape a child’s future, and I want to be part of making a meaningful difference in learners’ lives. Seeing a learner understand a concept they once struggled with is one of the most rewarding experiences for me. My Psychology studies further inspire me to support learners not only academically, but emotionally as well.

I am fluent in both English and Afrikaans and can teach confidently in either language. My goal is not only to improve marks, but to build confidence, independence, and a positive attitude towards learning.

I am committed to helping each learner grow academically and personally, and I look forward to supporting students on their journey to success.

About the lesson

As a BEd Intermediate Phase student with additional Psychology studies and previous tutoring experience, my approach to private tutoring is learner-centred, supportive, and structured. I completed my matric in 2024 with subjects including Mathematics (pure maths), Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry), Life Sciences (Biology), Afrikaans, English, Computer Applications Technology (CAT), and Life Orientation. This strong academic foundation allows me to confidently support learners across multiple subjects.

I believe every child learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods to suit each learner’s pace, strengths, and challenges. My psychology background helps me understand how learners think, stay motivated, and build confidence in their abilities.

I offer personalised lessons that focus on true understanding rather than memorisation. I use clear explanations, step-by-step guidance, practical examples, visual aids, and interactive activities to make learning engaging and meaningful. I also assist with homework, assignments, test preparation, exam revision, and study techniques.

I am fluent in both English and Afrikaans and can teach comfortably in either language, depending on the learner’s preference.

In a typical lesson, students can expect a calm, positive, and encouraging environment where questions are always welcome. We revise previous work, break down difficult concepts into manageable steps, practise together, and review mistakes to strengthen understanding. I aim to build both academic skills and self-confidence.

My goal is not only to improve marks, but to help learners develop confidence, independence, and a positive attitude toward learning.
