About Serena
I have been teaching secondary English for over four years and am currently a Middle Leader for English. I have been privately tutoring for the last year but I’ve edited academic essays and dissertations since 2013, all receiving a minimum of 2:1.

My teaching method is based around conversations with the pupil to allow them to fully think through their ideas or to know when to make changes to an essay. These conversations ask you about the purpose of the essay, what you want to achieve by writing it, but also, by becoming the expert and explaining your topic to a novice learner (me!), research has shown you grasp the concepts better too.
