About Jayme
I know what it takes to get in the door, and what happens once you're inside.
With a Master's degree from the Evans School of Public Policy at the University of Washington and a Bachelor's from Washington State University, I've built a career navigating some of the most complex spaces in public life. From federal agencies to state government to the halls of the state legislature, I've taken complicated ideas and turned them into real policy and action.
I also know how hiring works today. That means understanding how to write a resume and essay that speaks to a human, and gets past the screening tools that stand between you and that opportunity. Even navigating the "good ol' boys club" that persists today.
What drives me most is personal. When I was 18, I had ambitions, not so different from the ones I still carry. What I didn't have was someone in my corner who knew how to help me put them on paper and into a plan. I believe the right guidance at the right moment can genuinely change outcomes.
A well-written resume, a compelling essay, a clear sense of direction, these things open doors that might otherwise stay closed.
That's why I do this work. Whether you're preparing for college, stepping into your first career, or simply trying to figure out your next move, I'm here to help you get there.

A little bit more about what I offer:
Teaching method: Conversational and practical. I meet students where they are, ask questions to understand their goals, and build from there. No lecture-style, think coaching over teaching.
A typical lesson: We start with what you need most that day. That might be reviewing a draft, walking through a job application, or breaking down a civic concept. Every session ends with clear next steps.
What sets me apart: Real-world experience. I've worked at the executive level in government and policy. I'm not teaching from a textbook, I'm sharing what actually works in professional spaces.
Who this is for: High school students preparing for college, college students entering the workforce, and anyone at any stage looking to sharpen their professional footing. No specific degree or class required, just a willingness to do the work.
