About Ushie
Hi! I’m your friendly and patient tutor, and I support Early Years learners, children who need Autism support, and students who need help with their homework.
My teaching approach is calm, structured, and adapted to each learner’s individual needs. For Early Years children, I focus on building strong foundations through simple, engaging, and fun learning activities. For learners who need Autism support, I use clear instructions, patience, repetition when needed, and visual or step-by-step methods to make learning easier and more comfortable. For homework support, I help students understand their tasks clearly so they can complete their work with confidence and less stress.
I understand that every learner is different, so I adjust my teaching style to match their pace, communication style, and comfort level. My goal is always to create a safe and encouraging environment where learning feels easier and less overwhelming.
More than just completing tasks, I focus on building confidence, independence, and a positive attitude toward learning so every student feels capable and supported in their own way.
With patience, consistency, and the right guidance, I believe every learner can make progress, and I’m here to support them on that journey.

I believe that every learner is unique, and my personal approach to tutoring is built around understanding, patience, and adaptability.
In my sessions, I take the time to understand each child’s individual needs, learning style, and pace. For Early Years learners, I focus on building strong foundational skills through simple, engaging, and interactive activities. For learners who need Autism support, I create a calm, structured, and predictable learning environment using clear instructions, repetition when needed, and visual or step-by-step methods to support understanding and comfort. For homework support, I help students break down their tasks so they can understand what is being asked and complete their work with confidence.
I do not believe in rushing learning or using a one-size-fits-all method. Instead, I adapt my teaching to each student so they feel supported, understood, and capable.
My goal is to create a safe and encouraging space where learning feels less stressful and more achievable. I focus not only on academic progress, but also on building confidence, independence, and a positive attitude toward learning.
With patience, consistency, and the right support, I believe every learner can make meaningful progress and I am committed to guiding them every step of the way.

Ushie tutored both of my children! They are much more confident in their reading fluency now, I highly recommend her.
Ushie is an amazing teacher and has the ability to teach and make great impacts on students.
I’ve had the privilege of knowing Ushie both personally and academically and I can confidently say that she is an exceptional educator. Our paths first crossed in the university and later as colleagues during our National Youth Service year where her depth of knowledge and natural ability to explain complex concepts immediately have always stood out.
What I appreciate most about Ushie’s teaching style is her clarity and patience. She doesn’t just teach to complete a lesson, she teaches to ensure understanding. Ushie has a way of breaking down difficult ideas into simple, relatable parts, while also encouraging critical thinking and independent problem-solving.
One experience that stands out was when we worked together on a particularly challenging topic. While others found it overwhelming, Ushie remained calm and methodical, guiding step-by-step until everything clicked.
I highly recommend Ushie to any student looking for a knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely dedicated tutor.I knew Ushie at university. She was 2 levels ahead of me and we weren’t in the same department, but we got close. Ushie is the kind of Superprof who makes you feel safe to learn. I watched her speak twice addressing two different school issues, and she was incredible. Calm, clear, and she carried the whole room without making anyone feel small. That’s exactly how she teaches too. She helped me with English even though we weren’t coursemates, broke down grammar into simple steps, and corrected me with so much patience I actually started enjoying it. I recommend Ushie because she doesn’t just teach English, she builds the confidence to use it. If you’re nervous or think your English isn’t good enough, she’s the tutor who’ll make you believe you can.
I have known Ushie (Torii) since 2019, and we shared a home as flatmates for four years. Having supported one another through significant milestones, from her graduation to various career transitions, I can testify to her incredible loyalty and intelligence.
What makes her an exceptional teacher is her sharp eye for detail. During the years we lived together, she frequently spot-corrected my English, both spoken and written (emails and texts), in a way that was constructive and highly effective. She has a natural gift for breaking down complex rules, so they are easy to internalize. For example, she taught me how to navigate online shopping safely, which has saved me a significant amount of money. She is a dedicated mentor who is truly invested in the growth of those around her.Victoria is a highly supportive and reliable colleague who has consistently assisted me with English grammar whenever needed. She also possesses exceptional expertise in chemistry and mathematics, demonstrating a strong command of both subjects.
I have known Ushie since childhood, and I can confidently say that my proficiency in English today is largely because of her.
Growing up, I struggled to communicate in English and relied mostly on my local language. This made me feel left out in school, as I found it difficult to express my needs appropriately. Despite being young herself, Ushie took it upon herself to help me. She patiently taught me pronunciation, speaking, and essay writing.
Because of her dedication, I not only developed a love for English but also gained the confidence to stand before an audience and deliver lectures.
Ushie truly understands what it takes to support and groom a child with speech difficulties. Her patience, consistency, and genuine care make her exceptional at what she does. I am a living testimony of her impact, I can now confidently express myself, even in simple ways like saying, “I am thirsty,” which was once a challenge for me.
I wholeheartedly recommend her.We are good friends.
She is a kind, patient, and talented English tutor.
I watched her explain a difficult grammar rule so clearly that the student immediately understood it.
She genuinely cares about her students' progress and makes learning enjoyable.Ushie and I met in college over 14 years ago, so I can say with confidence that I know exactly the kind of person — and teacher — she is.
She has a natural ability to make English feel less like a subject and more like a conversation
She's patient, warm and genuinely invested in her students’ progress.
What sets her apart is how she adapts. She doesn’t teach everyone the same way; she pays attention to where you struggle and meets you there.
I’d recommend Ushie without hesitation to anyone looking for an English tutor who actually cares about results, not just getting through a lesson plan.
I am pleased to recommend Ushie, whose ability to inspire confidence in students is truly exceptional.
Ushie has a remarkable gift for seeing potential where students see only limitations. Through patient guidance, genuine encouragement, and an unwavering belief in each learner's ability to grow, Ushie creates an environment where students feel safe enough to try, fail, and try again.
Any student fortunate enough to learn from Ushie will gain far more than subject knowledge. They will gain confidence that serves them for life.
Warmly recommended.️See more recommendations
