About Martina

Since 2016, I have worked as both a private tutor and a schoolteacher, teaching predominantly Spanish and English to students of all ages and abilities both in person and online. I took Spanish and English Literature at GCSE, achieving A* and A respectively, and at A-Level, achieving B and A* respectively. The same year, I advanced my studies to a higher level at the University of Reading, earning a bachelor's degree in both subjects in 2019.

About the lesson

Knowing from personal experience how challenging learning a language can be, I aim to facilitate the process for my students by tailoring my tuition to their individual needs; sending notes consistently throughout the lesson; ensuring they are confident in their new-found knowledge before progressing; and offering a wide variety of resources to aid their learning. While many are initially reluctant to try online tuition, preferring the traditional face-to-face method, after just one session, the vast majority come to find that it is the more convenient option, as it is faster and more time- and cost-effective. As of this year, I have taught in excess of 1,000 hours to over 60 students online; risen to the top of the Spanish tutor ranks on Tutor Hunt; and received dozens of positive, predominantly five-star reviews from satisfied students across the continent. Personable, passionate and productive, my mission is to make learning both easy and enjoyable.

My daughter was originally predicted a D and was struggling to form even basic sentences. With Martina's help, she achieved A* in her final exam after just four months. Martina is both patient and encouraging and makes lessons fun and engaging. My daughter is now considering taking Spanish at university next year. I strongly recommend Martina to anyone who is struggling with Spanish and is serious about improving their grades.

Martina is extremely flexible regarding anything that you would like to cover or have explained again. I started with her as a complete beginner. Martina went through all the verb tenses logically, making them as easy(as you can) for me.She is always extremely patient with me as my medication can make me forgetful.I have an hour's lesson,& the full hour is utilised.I have absolutely no hesitation recommending Martina!!

I have tried to give 5 stars problem with site. She is DEFINITELY 5 stars.She is an excellent tutor that I found from a different site. Whatever your requirements, help with GCSE's, an introduction to see if you like Spanish or like me, to be able to speak fluent Spanish! Martina will do it really well.
She will adapt to what you want, need.
This year I had the confidence to have conversations with Spanish only speaking people, the area of Spain we go to.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. She's never let me down. Always have an hour or more lesson!!
