About Camila
Bonjour! First class with me is free!
I am a PhD student in Computational Biology who has experience in helping students with topics related to Bioinformatics such as next generation sequencing, coding with Python, developing machine learning models and understanding complex biological topics.
In the past, I have also taught French to mature students.
I have a Bachelors degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Sheffield in Biomedical Science (graduated with an Upper Second class Honours degree), I have a first class degree in Biomedical Engineering and I graduated top of the year in my Bioinformatics MSc from Queen Mary University.
I am patient and friendly and I understand the importance of creating a positive relationship with my students.

For Biology tutoring:
I find it easier to learn Biological content through the use of diagrams and mindmaps. Therefore, I intend to draw diagrams for my students and to teach them how to draw simple, self-explanatory diagrams that would help to understand complex Biomedical concepts.
Moreover, having kept notes from my past years as a student in Biomed and in Biological Engineering, these will allow me to give precise and accurate powerpoint lectures which would give students another point of view which will aid and enhance their understanding of their lectures.
For French Tutoring:
I aim to ask students if they are more visual or auditory learners or if they learn better with a combination of both inputs as I understand the importance of tailoring the learning methods in order to suit each student to make their learning as fruitful as I can. I believe that learning languages can be a fun and very rewarding process if the teaching methods are adequate and tailored to the students' needs and requirements.
I aim to focus on improving:
-Grammar (as French grammar can be very complicated)
-Vocabulary
-Oral communication
-Accent improvement
