About Louis

I am currently studying law at university, and use my love of music to relax. I was a very shy player when I was younger, and would enjoy bringing students out of their shell to maximise their potential. Whilst a professional setting is vital, we will have a laugh and I hope you will enjoy learning under my guidance.

About the lesson

I have had a variety of teachers over the years and experienced different teaching methods. I use these to tailor an experience for a student to work on what areas they would like to, whether that be selected pieces, or grade work, as well as offering my opinions. I like to encourage practice and learning of scales and arpeggios from an early stage, to maximise players' potential. I also like to focus on simple mouthpiece exercises to help young players maximise their sound. I enjoy giving as many options to students as to what pieces they would like to work towards. Lessons of 30 minutes, particularly focused towards young players and up to grade 4 level. I am more than happy to see students looking to go higher than this level, so please contact me if interested.
