About Nova
Teaching guitar for over 5 years has been a rewarding journey, alongside my Bachelor of Science in Audio Engineering (Guitar Focus). I’m passionate about improvisation in jazz and blues, helping students find freedom and creativity in their playing. My lessons explore modal scales, arpeggios, dominant seventh harmony, and bebop phrasing while guiding each student toward their unique voice.
I focus on lessons that are supportive, engaging, and tailored to the student’s level and goals. I’ve helped intermediate and advanced players, as well as professionals preparing for live performances, recordings, and gigs. Lessons balance technical skill, theory, and personal expression to make learning both effective and enjoyable.
Improvisation is a living conversation with music. I aim to help students communicate confidently, explore ideas freely, and develop an individual style. If you’re ready, we can start a journey of spontaneous musical expression together.

Lessons are designed to help guitarists read music fluently and confidently. I focus on standard notation, tablature, rhythm, and sight-reading exercises. My approach is systematic, building strong skills step by step.
I support both “The Classical Purist” and “The Jazz Explorer” in developing reading fluency. We start with basics like note names and simple rhythms, gradually introducing more challenging material. Exercises are always applied to actual playing.
Students gain confidence reading melodies, chords, and complex rhythms. Sight-reading is emphasized to prepare for any musical context. I also show how reading supports improvisation and expressive performance.
The goal is to make music reading a natural, enjoyable part of guitar playing. Together, we unlock the full potential of written music.
