About Daisy

I am a recent graduate of Classical Archaeology and Ancient History at Oxford University, having also studied Ancient Greek with my degree. Before this degree, I studied Ancient and Modern History for a year before making the switch to CAAH. I specialised in history, but have experience and competence in art, archaeology, ancient languages and ancient drama (literature and history). While at university I was a Krasis Scholar at the Ashmolean Museum, and have worked as a student ambassador with both Exeter College and Reach Cambridge, giving me experience working in an educational environment with children. I have tutored privately for three years, and have succeeded in helping 100% of my students to get Oxbridge interviews. I am happy to help with tutoring in classics, as well as university entrance - please just pop me an email!

About the lesson

I am happy to work with students who are currently taking a GCSE or A-Level in Classics Civ or Ancient History, or who wish to apply to Oxbridge/University for Classics/Archaeology or a related subject.

For tutoring GCSE/A-Level, my preferred teaching method is to work on essay questions and writing techniques, ideally with something the student has brought to me which I could mark and discuss either in person or over Skype. I like to address the question and what it is asking, assess the structure of the essay and how to tackle exams and timings.

For Oxbridge applications, I am happy to work with or advise for personal statements, interview practice, HAT test prep or answer any Oxbridge questions you may have. This also applies for non-Oxbridge applications - all are welcome!
