About Gabriella
Hello,
I'm so glad you are considering me as a tutor for yourself or your child.
I'm a friendly, pupil-led tutor who has been working in education since 2011. I teach a wide range of subjects, but my speciality is English Literature and Language, 11+, 7+ and early years / primary education.
I've recently had pupils recieve offers from a range of schools including Tiffins, Dulwich College, Streatham & Clapham, Kings, Sydenham, Shrewsbury House, Ibstock Place, Colfe's, Alleyns and Waldingham at 11+ and 7+.
I graduated from Cambridge University in 2016 with a Ba in English Literature (high 2.1) but before university worked in education in a variety of settings from GCSE tutoring, working in the Education department of a busy theatre and I spent 4 months living in Fiji working as a teacher to year 3 students.
My approach is very warm, friendly, kind and pupil led in order to build confidence alongside subject skills. I believe strongly that pupils that enjoy their education learn more and learn better - I tailor my lessons to each of my individual pupil's learning styles in order to best suit their needs.
I currently teach a range of students from year 1 to year 11, in English and Maths and school admissions and can provide references if needed.
I am keen to help in these difficult times in which we face potential school closures and student isolation. I am particularly experienced with teaching primary school students and love embracing these students energy and creativity and helping it flourish, but equally love pushing my older students to discover more.

Gabbie tutored our 10 year old daughter for the 11+. Our daughter absolutely loved being tutored by Gabbie who always kept it fun and innovative. They developed a great bond. This ultimately led to Layla being successful in the 11+ and being offered 2 places to South London Independent schools!!
Gabby tutored my son from the start of his year 4 until that Christmas. He is quite an anxious child and she put him totally at ease. She made the lessons fun and really stretched him without putting him under pressure. I often heard them laughing together. Her interactions with my husband and I were professional.
