About Portia
I’ve been teaching for over three years in various settings, including homeschooling, private tutoring, and online classes. What I’ve learned along the way is simple: every student brings their own personality into the lesson, and that’s something I love working with. My students describe me as patient, understanding, and sometimes even funny (yes, I like to make people laugh while we learn). I believe English lessons should feel less like a test and more like a real conversation where mistakes are just part of the process. With me, you can expect lessons that are clear, supportive, and full of encouragement because progress feels easier when you’re actually enjoying yourself.

My lessons focus on real-life communication: building fluency, confidence, and vocabulary you can actually use at work, while traveling, or in everyday conversations. Whether you’re working on grammar, pronunciation, or want more speaking practice, I create a relaxed space where mistakes are part of the journey and not something to fear.
In a typical lesson, you can expect:
️Conversation practice on topics that matter to you
Simple grammar support that’s clear and practical (no boring drills!)
Vocabulary building for daily life, work, or travel
Feedback and encouragement so you improve without pressure
Every class is adapted to your needs, goals, and pace—so you’ll always feel supported while making real progress.
