About Sasha

I’ve been playing the violin since I was 4 and the viola since 13. I’ve most enjoyed performing in orchestras and small string groups such as in CYM (The Centre for Young Musicians) at Morley College where I was from 9-13 and at my secondary school, Christ’s Hospital, which had music at the forefront of its extra-curricular programme.

I’m about to start studying Geography at UCL and I am looking forward to taking part in music at the university, while also teaching violin and viola on the side.

About the lesson

My lessons are friendly, supportive and tailored to each individual student. I specialise in teaching beginners and early-stage players, helping them build a strong foundation in both technique and musical understanding.

Lessons can cover everything from learning how to hold the instrument and bow correctly to reading music, developing rhythm, learning scales and playing enjoyable pieces. As students progress, I can also help them work towards graded exams if they wish.

I aim to make lessons enjoyable and encouraging, while helping students develop good habits and confidence from the very beginning. I teach viola and beginner violin, and I adapt the pace and content of lessons to suit each student’s age, experience and goals.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or have already had a few lessons, I would be happy to help you develop your skills and enjoyment of music!
