About Scarlett
I am a USA-based female guitar tutor with 6 years of online live teaching experience helping K-12 students, beginner musicians, high school learners, and college first-year students improve guitar performance skills. I completed my Bachelor of Music degree with studies focused on Guitar Performance and Contemporary Music Education. I enjoy helping students feel more comfortable with music by using patient explanations, supportive communication, and step-by-step teaching methods during live lessons!
I received the “Crystal Strings Learning Honor” and the “Sunrise Rhythm Excellence Medal” for my beginner-friendly guitar coaching programs and positive student engagement during online lessons. My specialties include Acoustic Guitar, Beginner Blues Guitar, Rock Guitar Foundations, Fingerstyle Practice, and Rhythm Development for young learners. I focus on simplifying difficult musical ideas into clear and understandable lessons so students can build confidence while improving steadily. My classes are supportive, interactive, and designed to help students enjoy music learning comfortably!
Outside music teaching, I enjoy nature photography, visiting coastal towns across the USA, painting small landscape artwork, attending live acoustic concerts, and collecting classic vinyl albums. These hobbies help me stay inspired creatively and bring fresh energy into my lessons. I always work to create a friendly and welcoming classroom atmosphere where students feel motivated and supported during every lesson!

My online one-to-one live guitar lessons are designed for K-12 students, high school learners, college first-year students, and all age groups who want patient and easy-to-understand music instruction. I focus on helping students build confidence while improving guitar skills step-by-step in a comfortable learning environment. I understand that learning guitar can sometimes feel difficult for beginners, especially when practicing chords, rhythm patterns, or finger coordination, so I explain everything clearly using simple examples and guided exercises. Students can also send songs, assignments, chord charts, or practice topics before class so I can prepare personalized lessons according to their learning goals!
I teach Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Blues Guitar, Rock Guitar, Jazz Guitar Basics, Rhythm Guitar, Fingerstyle Techniques, Chord Progressions, Music Reading, Beginner Improvisation, and Performance Preparation. My lessons are interactive because I believe students learn faster when they feel involved and comfortable asking questions during class. I simplify complicated techniques into smaller sections so students can practice more confidently without feeling overwhelmed. I also adjust lessons according to student interests because some learners enjoy rock songs while others prefer acoustic music, blues rhythms, or beginner jazz styles!
During live lessons, I focus on creating a positive and motivating environment where students feel relaxed while learning. I provide rhythm exercises, chord transition drills, picking activities, finger coordination practice, and beginner solo techniques to help students improve gradually. I also support students preparing for school performances, beginner band practice, talent shows, and introductory college music activities. My teaching style combines patience, encouragement, and structured guidance so students can enjoy learning music while building strong technical foundations!
I believe every student deserves supportive instruction that makes learning music feel enjoyable and achievable. My goal is to help students improve their guitar abilities while also building confidence and creativity. I enjoy seeing students grow from nervous beginners into more comfortable and expressive musicians through interactive and supportive online lessons designed around their individual needs!
