About Mataya
Hello my name is Mataya and I am currently a Junior at Arizona State University majoring in Environmental Engineering. I have been immersed by french culture from an early age and did most of my K-12 in french immersion schools while living in Canada. I was able to graduate high school with a certificate of fluency in the french language as well!
Aside from schooling I spend most of my summers traveling around Europe to french countries. I believe that being able to apply your skills in real-life situations is the most crucial element to learning any language!

However, everyone learns at different speeds and desires different techniques in order to fully grasp certain concepts. With tailored lessons designed to meet your individual needs and goals, I offer a warm and engaging learning experience that makes mastering French fun and achievable.
Our lessons will begin with an assessment to evaluate your current proficiency level and discuss your learning goals and what you hope to gain from tutoring. From there, we will develop a customized curriculum focusing on areas of your choice such as grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversation. Throughout our sessions, you will engage in interactive activities and exercises that will include aspects of french language and culture to practice and reinforce new concepts. You will have the flexibility to schedule lessons at times that work best for you, with options for in-person or online sessions.
