My lessons are structured to the students' needs. We typically start with bell work or a warm-up activity followed by the lesson of the week. To reinforce learning, I provide homework that allows students to apply their new skills and assess their understanding. I plan my lessons using the Ontario curriculum, blending it with real-life contexts to make learning meaningful and enjoyable. I understand that learning a second language can be challenging, which is why I create thoughtful and hands-on activities to build confidence and make progress rewarding. For instance, in a Grade 4 French immersion final project, students create a short book by describing an activity they enjoy and engage in regularly.
