About Alessandra

I am graduated in Oriental Languages and Cultures from University of Bergamo, Italy. I have developed my communication skills in different environments, supported by my Bachelor Degree in Oriental Languages and Cultures studying Arabic, French and English. I have an extended experience in Cultures and Foreign languages. In 2014 I have been living and studying in France thanks to Erasmus Programme. I gained an Applied Foreign Languages certificated course (English-French translation) from Université de Rouen. I also have a B2 Certificate in English Language from University of Cambridge. I have been teaching in professional contexts for several years as a self-employed with individual and group sessions for adults, children and teenagers. For one year, I have worked for Patchwork Association in Bergamo, supporting young students in their school commitments.

About the lesson

I adapt my methodology according to the specific students' needs. I like to connect with the students I am working with, creating personalised classes structure. However, these normally include Grammar tasks, Reading, Listening, Speaking, Oral and Written comprehension. I have exceptional organisational skills and I have the ability to create detailed schedules. I have incredible team-working skills and I am a good problem solver. I am dedicated in building a career I love, spreading a meaningful message through my work.

Perfect! Great approach and enthusiasm! The fact that she speaks multiple languages is also extremely helpful. Classes often entail a mixture of conversation, listening, reading, and writing.

When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?
I developed my interest in private tutoring when attending my BA in Foreign Languages and Cultures. I am a very empathetic person and I am able to connect with a wide range of people. I deeply know what it means to study hard to try achieving an objective!
Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).
I currently teach Italian, French and English on Superprof. I love dedicating myself to any aspect of the language and I always welcome any students' request!
Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?
My best teachers are kindness and compassion!
What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?
I believe that the most important qualities are knowledge, organisation and honesty.
Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.
When attending a French course in University, the Professor asked if I was a native 'francophone'! Of course I am not, but that question made me imagine that he thought I was!!
What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or are still facing in your subject?
Language teaching is hard work!! To me, the most difficult challenges are related to the effort and passion I put in each class. I hope this is much appreciated by the students!!
Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?
One of my biggest passions is dance and I try to keep connected with this part of myself as much as I can!!

I am a genuine and honest teacher and I will always give you my best advice from the bottom of my heart!! <3
