About Laurène

Native French, I have always had a very pronounced interest in multiculturalism and foreign languages (I speak fluently English and Spanish) which I was aware of the usefulness and the enrichment that this brings during my travels. , international experiences and meetings / relations with foreigners. I made several language stays to learn English and as part of my Business studies in English at Neoma, I did a gap year in Mexico where I became bilingual French-Spanish (academic exchange and internship professional). I professionally orient myself towards a professional career in an international and multicultural environment where I could speak French, English, Spanish and collaborate with people from different backgrounds in stimulating projects. Having always loved learning my own language during my schooling (I have always had facilities in French - literature, writing & oral - and in philosophy) I wish to share this interest as well as my knowledge and skills by helping people (foreign or not) ) to learn French in turn. My level of fluent English and Spanish will allow me to easily get in touch with clients speaking these languages to ensure understanding of my French lessons.

About the lesson

100% online course: I start by learning about the level, needs / expectations / objectives and desires of the apprentice to prepare a tailor-made course program. I adapt to all levels, from the most beginner (A0-A1) to the advanced / bilingual (C2) level, as well as school programs (primary, college, high school, prep class and above). I also offer to teach in a personalized way to people wishing to learn French for personal or professional reasons (relationship, cultural interest / travel, leisure, work ...). I send a course outline (in googledoc) before starting so that the apprentice can easily follow the course and keep track of it. This frame contains the essentials synthesized + the examples / exercises to translate (note taking recommended afterwards). Introduction to French (foreign client): learning the basics of the language: alphabet, phonetics, pronunciation & accentuation. Then progressive grammar and conjugation rules for all levels, new vocabulary ... Expression / written comprehension: - Grammar / conjugation course: learning the rules and / or revision. - Live practice with example sentences / short texts to be translated in writing and orally (note taking recommended once the exercise or example has been corrected and validated). Expression / Oral comprehension: I send before the course a literary extract or an extract of a press article (theme of your choice: arts & culture, sport, cooking, travel, economy, politics ...). - 1st step: study of vocabulary and grammatical points covered. - 2nd step: the apprentice raises the important points, the theme, the problem ... and prepares a short written and oral presentation (introduction, development, conclusion) - 3rd step: Conversion between the apprentice and me to verify knowledge learned (vocabulary, grammar) + deepen and broaden the subject (practice speaking!) NB: possibility of doing this exercise by watching a short video! Conversion workshops based on subjects of your choice: - Personal subjects: tell about your summer vacation, your best memory of school, travel, birthday, projects or dreams for the future ... I leave first the apprentice speaks then I initiate the conversation with him (to deepen ideas, explanations, questions / answers). - General Knowledge Subjects: I assign a live theme to the apprentice then I let him argue his opinion / position and finally I debate with him. - Short debate between "two options". I send the apprentice a list on GoogleDoc) with two options each time (eg: "Netflix or Cinema?", "Macdo or Burger King) and I ask him to choose one of the two and to argue ( ex: why I prefer Netflix to the cinema release ..).
