About Lisa

Bonjour ! Originally from the south-east of France, I have a strong passion for the French language and culture. A true traveller at heart, I have explored many countries and lived in Canada for five months before settling in Australia, where I have now been based for the past four years. I hold a diploma in Law, but my long-term goal has always been to become a French teacher. To build my teaching experience, i began tutoring French in Melbourne through a local association and have now been teaching for over a year. I also work as a Bilingual Classroom Support Officer in a Melbourne school, where I regularly use French in an educational setting. I teache students of all ages and levels, from children to adults and from complete beginners to advanced learners. My teaching style is interactive, structured and supporting. I always adapt my lessons to suit each student’s needs, goals and learning preferences. I particularly enjoy using real-life situations, dialogues, visual and audio resources.

About the lesson

Techniques and Teaching Methodology: I use a communicative and student-centered approach, focusing on practical usage of French in everyday situations. My lessons combine speaking, listening, reading, and writing exercises, tailored to each student’s needs. I also incorporate cultural aspects of the French language to make learning engaging and meaningful. I can give sometimes some homework. Typical Length of a Lesson: Lessons usually last between 45 minutes and 1 hour, but I can adjust the duration depending on the student’s preferences and goals. Experience as a Tutor: I am a native French speaker with a legal diploma from France. I work as a tutoring French to students of different ages and levels, helping them gain confidence and fluency. I plan to pursue formal teacher training in French in the future, with the goal of becoming a certified French teacher here in Australia and teaching French professionally in the long term. Who Are My Lessons For: My lessons are suitable for all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced/confirmed learners. I can tailor sessions for school students, university students, professionals, or anyone interested in improving their French skills.
