About Martine
I am originally from Lyon, France and have lived in the United States for 10 years. I am fluent in Spanish as well. I know the struggles of learning a new language and I have created my own shortcuts and tricks to make it fun. I like the idea of being pulled and not needing to push as an analogy. So creating a compelling narrative around the process is a predominant part of my teaching technique.

Each course is tailored to the student’s personality, including discovering their most receptive mnemonic, combining it with their interest and objectives.
Typically, I would start with a subject they love, find related French songs, movies, sports and art related to it.
If your objective is to travel somewhere soon, we’d focus on the upcoming destinations and activities involved.
If it is for dating I would try and create a compelling conversation leading to get to know someone.
And if someone likes to learn all the basics, I would do that as well.
Creativity & fun is predominantly important for me. I have had some students place post-it notes on all their furniture and belongings to have daily reminders of basic daily words.
