About Maya
Hi! I’m Maya — born and raised in France, and still happily living in Paris. I’m a jurist with a double degree in French and English law, as well as a Master’s degree. Having spent a lot of time between the US and the UK, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for English-speaking cultures — and a unique ability to bridge them with the French way of thinking and communicating. Teaching has always been close to my heart. I grew up in a family of educators — my mother is a teacher — and that naturally inspired my love for learning and sharing knowledge. People often describe me as enthusiastic, easy-going, and always smiling. I like to create a positive, encouraging atmosphere where students feel comfortable, supported, and genuinely motivated. I truly enjoy meeting people from all backgrounds, exchanging ideas, and helping them discover the joy of learning French in a relaxed and friendly way.

I believe language learning should be about real communication, not just memorizing grammar rules. That’s why my sessions are highly interactive and conversation-focused — you’ll speak from day one, even if you’re a beginner. We use authentic materials — articles, videos, dialogues, or role plays — to make sure what you learn is immediately useful in real life. My approach combines structure and flexibility. I also focus a lot on pronunciation and confidence — because speaking naturally is just as important as accuracy. Most importantly, I aim to create a relaxed and motivating atmosphere. By the end of each class, you’ll leave feeling more confident, more fluent, and genuinely excited for the next one.
