About Cole
I hold a B.A. in French Studies and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics, and over the past 9 years, I have helped learners develop comprehensive proficiency in French, combining technical mastery with expressive confidence and cultural awareness. My teaching approach emphasizes interactive learning, practical application, cultural immersion, and personalized guidance, tailoring lessons to meet each student’s goals, pace, and interests.
I have taught students across different age groups and skill levels, from beginners seeking conversational fluency to advanced learners preparing for academic or professional contexts. My approach encourages active participation, critical thinking, and authentic communication to foster fluency, confidence, and expressive skill.
Outside of teaching, I engage deeply with French literature, media, and contemporary culture to provide students with real-world examples, authentic context, and enriched learning experiences. Witnessing learners progress from hesitant speakers to confident, articulate, and culturally aware communicators is incredibly fulfilling.
