About Celine Heitiare

Bonjour! I am Céline, I am originally from French Polynesia. I have been teaching French to a wide range of students with various needs. I have taught diplomats to prepare them for their overseas postings and exams, I have taught people who just have a love for the French language and culture and those who just need French to get by overseas. My strongest quality as a qualified French language teacher lies in my ability to adapt to my student’s learning style and give them the practical, technical and - when useful - emotional tools that they need to meet their language learning requirements. Being a language learner myself I can easily put myself in the shoes of my students. I have been learning Spanish and I am currently learning Arabic. I look forward to helping you and supporting you in achieving your language goals.

About the lesson

As a language learner myself and a certified language teacher, I understand the discipline, methodology, skills and needs required to effectively learn a new language. My experience as a French Language teacher both in groups and one on one has enabled me to understand the different needs of my students. I give great importance to providing students with accurate information as well as imparting confidence and motivation in their language learning journey. My strongest quality as a French language teacher lies in my ability to adapt to my student’s learning style and give them the practical, technical and emotional tools that they need to meet their learning requirements. In addition to having years of experience teaching, I have two graduate diplomas in teaching foreign languages and a master in English literature and history. Classes are usually 1 hour for adults or if you need to accelerate your learning classes can be 1h30 or 2 hours. I look forward to meeting you and starting your French learning journey together.

Perfect! I found Céline to be an excellent teacher in all respects. She clearly demonstrated an ability to gauge my specific learning needs and to adapt her teaching style accordingly. Céline is obviously a very kind person who wants to help people like me to improve their French, whatever their current level. I very much got the impression that she could, and would, adapt her teaching style to whatever would work best for an individual student. In summary, I think I benefitted enormously from a lesson that was pitched precisely to my needs and can thoroughly recommend her as a teacher!
