About Tessa
My passion for French began through an appreciation for language, culture, and international communication. This interest led me to complete a Bachelor of Arts in French Studies followed by a Master of Arts in French Linguistics. During my 8 years of teaching experience, I have worked with students from many backgrounds, helping them build practical language skills through clear instruction and supportive guidance. Teaching French allows me to share my enthusiasm for both the language and the cultures connected to it.
I believe students learn best when they are actively engaged and encouraged to use the language from the start. My teaching style combines structured learning with practical communication activities that build confidence and fluency. Through listening exercises, conversations, and personalized support, I help learners develop skills they can use in real situations. I strive to create an environment where students feel comfortable practicing and improving.
Outside teaching, I enjoy reading French literature, following cultural developments, and exploring language history. These interests help me bring authentic perspectives into lessons and make learning more meaningful. Watching students progress from uncertainty to confident communication is one of the most rewarding aspects of my profession. I look forward to helping learners achieve their goals and enjoy the richness of the French language.
