About Jemima

I am a certified French teacher with a DALF C2 certificate. I was based in France for over 4 years. I got my Bachelor's degree in French language culture and civilization, in France. I have taught many students and worked with different international organizations as a French language expert. I have over 3 years of teaching experience. I have worked with students with different levels.

About the lesson

My methodology in teaching is simple and easy to follow. I place key importance on understanding and communicating, rather than cramming grammar structure which is essential but not the best in the long run. If you are looking for someone to help you in your journey of language learning I am your choice. I am in the process of learning my 5th language so I do relate. I also help young students/pupils and adults prepare for an exam(DALF/DELF) in French.

She never sees that as cons instead, she was keen to create awareness, tutoring colleagues to better understand and headlining events. Jemima is a unique individual with a goal-driven trait, a leader, a great tutor and of course, she's consistent at what she does.

Jemima and I related much better and she taught me a few French words for exchanging greetings and pleasantries which became our typical mode of communication afterwards.

Coco Chanel is a character that fully represents the French culture. She lived from 1883 to 1971. She was a businesswoman and a fashion designer. She is the founder of the very popular brand "Chanel"

A typical French person loves wine and baguette. You can check on the internet. An image of a French person is typically a glass of wine, on one hand, a cigarette on the other and a baguette(French bread).
Why does speaking this language matter to you?
French is one of the top 5 languages in the world. In Africa French is the most spoken language. Also most international organizations like the EU, OAU, and UN have French as an official language. French is also a love language as perceived by many speakers and learners of the language.
What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?
The most difficult part of learning French is the grammar rules. French can have complex rules and exceptions to rules. However, if you have the right teacher who takes it step by step with consistent practice you will learn it.
Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.
The best way to learn a language is to speak. Don't be afraid to make mistakes. Take classes on oral and conversational French. Try to practice with your French-speaking friends. Allow them to correct when you make a mistake. These are some of the tips that helped me in learning French.
How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?
Travelling and mixing with native speakers have really helped my language skill. I speak five languages thanks to my exposure to different languages and countries. On the other side, technology has made it easy for you to find friends anywhere in the world and chat with them. No need to travel far to learn.
