About the lesson

My Approach to Tutoring:

Getting into medicine is highly competitive - my goal is to help you stand out.
My teaching is interactive, goal-oriented, and tailored to your individual learning style. Whether you're tackling tough A level subjects like biology or chemistry, or preparing for UCAT and interviews, I provide clear guidance every step of the way.

My Teaching Techniques & Methodology:
Every student starts with an assessment of their current UCAT performance using Medify or MedEntry statistics, alongside a discussion about their strengths, weaknesses and target universities. From this, I create a personalised study plan with weekly goals tailored to their exam date and current level. Lessons focus on understanding why answers are correct rather than justmemorising techniques. We break down each section into manageable strategies, helping students develop the pattern recognition, critical thinking and time management skills needed to consistently improve their scores. Between lessons, students receive structured homework with specific question sets, mini mocks and timed practice targeted at their weakest areas. I regularly review progress data to adapt study plans, ensuring lessons remain focused on the areas that will have the biggest impact on their score.
I teach all five UCAT sections and alongside question technique, I cover pacing strategies, educated guessing, calculator shortcuts, keyboard shortcuts, flagging strategies and mock exam preparation to help students perform under timed conditions. For students applying to medicine or dentistry, I also offer interview preparation for both MMI and panel interviews, with personalised feedback and practice stations.

Typical Lesson Length: Lessons are typically 90 minutes, with options for 120-minute intensive sessions for mock interviews or detailed topic reviews. I am also open to shorter sessions if that’s what suits your learning style best!

Qualifications & Experience:
I am currently enjoying my 4th year of medical school at KCL and I have a strong academic record, achieving A*s at A level, 3100+ in the UCAT and 4/4 medicine offers. With 8 years of tutoring experience, I’ve successfully worked with students to achieve their goals and gain admission to top medical schools as well as mentored medical students and supported them through their medical school journeys.

After the initial lesson, my standard rates are:
