About Ashleigh

I have always wanted to be a teacher, I am passionate about teaching young minds and helping them understand our amazing world. I was born in a small town called Odentaalsrus, I lived in Bloemfontein for 6 years before relocating to Welkom after my parents past away. I finished school in Welkom and moved back to Bloemfontein to study at the University of the Free State. Through my 4 years of studying I have met and worked with a lot of families, helping them grow and meet their goals. I have always been passionate about making a change in a childs life and have been doing so ever since I started Au Pairing and Tutoring for families.
My objective as a teacher are to be a good influence on my student, be a help to them and help them develop to their best potential. I would like create a safe space for my learners to make them feel comfortable to be themselves and trust me.
I love being creative and would use my creativity ability to make my lessons interesting and easy to remember, I love to teach children new things and feed their curious minds. Industrious educator with solid history of successfully stepping into diverse classroom environments and supporting students with solid lectures, discussions and activities. Implement intervention strategies and discipline management techniques to enhance student success. Trained in attendance, assessment and grading requirements.

About the lesson

Go into detail on the rules of Afrikaans, the basics of writing and more difficult concepts to understand about Afrikaans. I use CAPS document for all my lessons.
I believe that knowledge, skills and experience as a final year B.Ed. Foundation Phase Student make me an excellent candidate for the role. I have a great passion for the profession and to teach young children and look after their wellbeing. I would like create a safe space for my learners to make them feel comfortable to be themselves and trust me.

I have a solid history of successfully stepping into diverse classroom environments and supporting students with solid lectures, discussions and activities. I implement intervention strategies and discipline management techniques to enhance student success. I am trained in attendance, assessment and grading requirements.

I have excellent communication, leadership, planning, critical thinking, administrative and interpersonal skills. I am reliable, hardworking, caring, focused, patient, creative, flexible, adaptable, self-motivated and well organised. I work very well under pressure and I am also a positive and enthusiastic person who is always willing to learn more and to take on new responsibilities.
