About Marissa
My love for writing started as soon as I could read! I have been a lifetime lover of words and am passionate about both reading and writing. Right now, I am a graduate student and excel in written assignments, especially essays. Writing is a skill that has to be developed; once you learn a structure that makes sense to you (I have a ton!), essay writing can be quick and efficient.

I think that the most important thing for writing is understanding your prompt! With me, we will start there-- do you have an idea of how to address the topic? From there, we will develop an outline with a clear direction to make getting started easier. For students who struggle, this will including sentence stems for younger learners. We will also discuss using evidence to support your ideas, and how to explain that evidence. We will end by discussing strategies for a strong conclusion and important details like cohesion, grammar, editing, proofreading, and staying on topic!
