About John
I am a lawyer with two law degrees (J.D. and LL.M). Thanks to an extensive career in criminal law as a Crown prosecutor in Ontario and Nova Scotia I developed a comprehensive understanding of fundamental principles taught in criminology and law courses at every level.

As a tutor and teacher, my methodology varies depending on the needs of the student. When I present lectures, I encourage students to ask questions. Once students have developed self-confidence, I introduce questions for them to answer. My final aspect of oral questioning involves the Socratic technique. During the course of the tutorial, I set short answer essay topics and use the student's answers to determine the student's familiarity with the material.
