I played football professionally for years before transitioning into teaching, and that athletic discipline and team mentality still shapes almost everything about how I run a lesson today. Eight years into teaching now, I've worked with approximately one hundred ninety students, many of them fellow athletes or genuinely goal-oriented students who respond well to structure and clear accountability. I push students to show up consistently, even on low-motivation days, since I know firsthand that consistency beats occasional intensity every single time.
