About Yang

Hi! I'm Yang, a former researcher in photonic quantum computing with a strong academic background in physics, mathematics and advanced scientific research.
I moved to Australia in 2017 to pursue postgraduate studies and have spent several years exploring complex scientific concepts, particularly in quantum physics, optics and photonic technologies.
Physics has always fascinated me because it allows us to understand how the world works, from the motion of everyday objects to the behavior of light and particles at the quantum level.
Throughout my research journey, I've developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to approach challenging problems systematically.
I believe that physics is not about memorizing complicated equations — it's about understanding the fundamental principles behind them.
I'm passionate about sharing my knowledge and helping students discover that physics can be both understandable and enjoyable.
I understand that physics can sometimes feel intimidating, especially when abstract concepts and mathematical equations are introduced together. That's why I believe patience, clear explanations and encouragement are essential to effective learning.
My goal is to help students build a solid understanding of physics, develop confidence in their problem-solving abilities and become independent learners.
Whether you're preparing for high school exams, struggling with challenging physics concepts or simply curious about science, I'd love to help you develop your understanding and appreciation of physics!

With an academic and research background in physics and quantum computing, I have developed a deep understanding of physical principles, mathematical modelling and scientific problem-solving.
I believe that physics becomes much easier and more enjoyable when students truly understand the concepts behind the equations, rather than simply memorising formulas.
My teaching approach:
- Conceptual Understanding: I focus on explaining the fundamental principles of physics in a clear and intuitive way, helping students understand not just how things work, but why.
- Step-by-Step Problem Solving: I break down challenging physics problems into manageable steps, helping students develop logical thinking and analytical skills.
- Personalised Learning: Each lesson is tailored to the student's current knowledge, learning pace and academic goals.
- Real-World Applications: I connect physics concepts to everyday experiences, technology and scientific discoveries to make learning more engaging and meaningful.
- Confidence Building: I create a patient and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring challenging ideas.
Lesson Details:
- Duration: Typically 60 minutes, with flexibility depending on individual needs.
- Levels: High school students (Years 7–12), particularly those studying senior Physics.
- Topics: Mechanics, Forces and Motion, Energy, Electricity, Magnetism, Waves, Optics and Modern Physics.
- Focus: Conceptual understanding, mathematical problem-solving, homework support and exam preparation.
- Format: Online or face-to-face lessons in Brisbane.
My Teaching Philosophy
Physics is not just about solving equations — it is about understanding how the world works.
My goal is to help students develop a genuine understanding of physics, strengthen their problem-solving abilities and build the confidence to approach unfamiliar questions independently.
Whether you're finding physics challenging, preparing for exams or simply curious about how the universe works, I'd be happy to help you on your learning journey!
