About Matt
I’ve been teaching music lessons (drums and bass) for over 10 years. Outside of music, I enjoy exploring the city, reading, drinking coffee, hanging out with my cats, and cooking new recipes. My goal in teaching lessons is to develop a trustworthy and comfortable relationship where we can really fit into your musical goals.

I help students develop the kind of solid, functional bass playing that other musicians want from us. Areas of focus include music theory, improvising over chord changes, solidifying technique, and how to construct effective basslines.
I’ll be the right teacher for anyone hoping to improve how they play with other musicians, better understand why their favorite bassists play the way they do, and/or start to improvise on the bass.
