About Saumyabrata
My career in the Judicial Service of the State of West Bengal has been driven by a deep commitment to fairness, discipline, and the rule of law. Over the years, I have progressed from a Junior Division Judge to District Judge and District Judge, LRTT — each stage reinforcing the importance of balanced judgment, efficient case management, and empathy in decision-making. I bring a rare blend of judicial insight and administrative leadership. I have managed complex dockets, guided teams of officers and staff, introduced procedural efficiencies, and ensured that every litigant—regardless of background—received a fair hearing. My experience has honed skills essential for any institution that values clarity, accountability, and justice-driven governance: analytical reasoning, precise communication, and ethical decision-making under pressure. What motivates me most is impact. Whether presiding in court or managing a district’s judicial operations, I’ve sought to strengthen systems, mentor colleagues, and uphold public trust. I believe these qualities—integrity, discipline, and a solutions-oriented mindset—will enable me to add meaningful value in any role that demands responsibility, strategic thinking, and dedication to service.

Having served in the West Bengal Judicial Service, including as a District Judge and District Judge (LRTT), I bring to my teaching not just academic knowledge but the practical wisdom of the courtroom. My approach blends conceptual clarity, case-based discussion, and strategic preparation — helping aspirants think like a judge, not just study like a candidate.
Teaching Techniques and Methods
I emphasize conceptual understanding of law through landmark judgments, statutory interpretation, and reasoning-based analysis rather than rote memorization.
Each session includes interactive discussions, problem-solving exercises, and mock questions drawn from real exam patterns.
I provide individual feedback and guide students on answer presentation, structuring judgments, and writing with precision.
Regular mini-tests and performance tracking ensure consistent improvement and confidence before the exam.
