About Thalya

With a background as both a competitive player and experienced coach, I bring a player-centered approach to every training session. I grew up playing for Real Colorado ECNL before continuing my collegiate career at Fort Hays State University. After college, I had the opportunity to play professionally with Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany and later competed in the WPSL in Tennessee after returning to the United States. With more than 10 years of coaching experience, I have worked with players ages 2 and up, coaching both boys and girls ranging from beginners discovering the game for the first time to advanced and professional-level athletes.

About the lesson

My coaching philosophy is built around individualized development. Every player learns differently, which is why sessions are strategically planned around each athlete’s age, ability, learning style, goals, and stage of development. Training sessions begin with a strong technical foundation, focusing on first touch, ball mastery, dribbling, passing, coordination, and movement. From there, players progress into shooting, finishing, decision-making, and game-related situations that help transfer technical skills into confident play. Structured repetition and purposeful exercises allow players to build consistency while developing the physical tools necessary to compete. Maintaining open communication with players, parents, and coaches allows training to continually evolve with the athlete and ensures everyone is working toward the same goals. While development requires focus and discipline, I also believe players perform their best when they enjoy the process. Sessions are intentionally designed to balance intensity, challenge, and fun. Even the highest-level athletes benefit from an environment built on positivity, encouragement, and genuine enjoyment of the game. My goal extends beyond developing better soccer players. Through training, players are encouraged to develop confidence, resilience, accountability, discipline, communication, leadership, and a strong mindset—skills that remain valuable long after they leave the field. My fiancé, who has also played professionally for seven years, shares this passion for the game and player development. Together, we value creating an environment where athletes feel challenged, supported, and empowered to reach their potential. Develop the player. Build the person. Love the game. ️

Thalya was amazing with my daughter! She not only pushed her to be an incredible and smart player but she helped to build her confidence as a player. My daughter still sends her videos and pictures off all of her accomplishments.
