I've been creating websites since the late 90s, have a bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Communication Design, and have been working in the design field full-time since 2014. My work largely is in the digital space, but I have done print and social/motion work throughout my career as well and enjoy them all.

Before we can get started making any forward progress, I think it's vital to get to know each other a bit. Tutors and Mentors work best when you gel with each other and understand where their advice is coming from and how to interpret it.
Personally, I try not to be blunt but direct with my visual feedback; if there are universal trends you're trying to swim against you'll only find success knowing what they are and whether they're the right ones to fight.
When it comes to subjective things such as art, writing, etc... I will give you my personal opinion but always try to remain open to the fact that I am just one person and from one specific background. There is a world of other people out there and the job should be to help you get your work to them in as coherent a package as possible so it can have the most impact.
I've taught semester long courses, day-long workshops, and 30min to 1hr long tutoring sessions, so the scope of what you want to cover can change wildly if you let me know up-front.
The level of work I'm used to helping with is late high school and college / graduate school. And I'm used to mentoring and coaching professionals who are interning or early in their career.
