About Luca
Hi!
With over 15 years of experience as a musician, having completed a Foundation Certificate in Popular Music & Music Technology and achieved a 1st Class degree in Music at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, I have extensive knowledge of practical technique, musicianship skills, and music theory.
I have extensive experience as a professional live guitarist, performing at events across the UK and Sweden since 2016. I've toured the UK as a guitarist and backing vocalist, working with a wide range of artists and styles including rock, metal, pop, folk, funk, and more.
I was hired live session musician for ongoing UK headline tour in London,
In 2023 I was hired to complete a UK headline tour with pop/rock band Novelty Island, performing a series of gigs in London, Glasgow, Newcastle, Sheffield, Birmingham, and Leeds. Novelty Island has released 2 albums and 1 EP, and played many live shows including Glastonbury in 2022.
In 2024, I was the guitarist for Liverpool artist Pixey for her BBC live studio broadcast.
From 2022 to 2024, I toured with Liverpool grunge band HAZMAT, performing many shows across the UK in cities such as Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Wrexham, Chester, and more. In May of 2024, I joined them to play the Main Stage at FOCUS Wales Festival 2024.
I currently work for multiple music tuition companies in the UK including Gold Music and River Music School London as a freelance music tutor and educator specialising in guitar and music theory.
I have worked for Catalyst Performing Arts Liverpool as a supervisor and music teacher, and have been hired by Awards For Young Musicians (AYM) as a music workshop leader for their outreach events.

I believe that learning an instrument should first and foremost be a fun and rewarding process, especially in the early stages.
I allow students to dictate what they want to learn and make the experience of reaching desired targets on the guitar achievable and enjoyable. Having achieved a 1st Class degree in Music at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, I have extensive experience as a professional musician and vast knowledge of practical techniques, musicianship skills, and music theory.
With years of teaching experience, I am able to teach theoretical concepts on the guitar in an approachable and practical way. I cover a wide range of genres including rock, funk, blues, grunge, acoustic, hip-hop, and pop. I welcome all ages and skill-levels.
Whether you want to focus on improvisation, legato, alternate picking, ear-training, transposition, chords, music theory, or simply be able to strum along to your favourite songs, I can help you achieve your performance goals!
